Little background information: 925 Sports has been the top Preseason DFS provider on Youtube the past two seasons. Going along with that we are the fastest growing DFS provider. This has mainly been due to our success with PGA DFS where we cashed in over 80% of contests in full tournament field events. The strategy with PGA, and NFL DFS is relatively the same, and we look to continue our hot streak in preseason DFS this season.
Last year in the Hall of Fame Game we were all over Javon Wims as a play where he went on to get 7 REC, and 89 YDS. This year there are a couple of WR’s catching my eye, and I will touch on those later on in this write up.
Strategy for Preseason DFS:
- Target Players that are going to get the most playing time.
- Target RB’s that you can project to get around 7 total touches.
- Target WR’s that have big play upside.
- Play defenses in showdown slates for base points.
- Captain Spot should be a WR if you’re trying to win a GPP.
- Check news of players right before lineup lock.
QUARTERBACK
Kurt Benkert (ATL) - Benkert was in this same situation last year preseason week 4 and he sucked. What is the situation? Benkert will most likely play the whole game, and in preseason dfs that would mean that player should be a lock. But in games where he played the most he had a completion % under 60, threw 0 TD's, and had 3 INTS.
Brett Rypien (DEN) - With an additional Preseason game many times teams want to get a good look at players that will most likely be on their practice squad. Rypien seems to be just that. I believe that he will play the most out of all DEN QBs. Worth noting that he has been impressive in camp thus far.
RUNNING BACK
Devontae Jackson (DEN) - He has been getting slight hype in camp, I believe that the Broncos will want to get a good look at their two young RBs. Jackson the rookie makes the most sense to get PT in the hall of fame game.
WR
Olamide Zaccheaus (ATL) - He is a player that keeps standing out and making nice plays in camp. He is also a young WR that should see plenty of snaps in the hall of fame game. I like the idea of stacking him and Benkert.
Christian Blake (ATL) - Where I think Zaccheaus could have sneaky long TD upside, I think Blake could be the REC hog. Watching him in camp, and watching his film from college he just always seems to get open. He is a great route runner that is having a good camp. Blake could be this years big breakout WR, time will tell!
