NFL DFS: Week 18 Slate Breakdown - Cash Lineup, Pivot Lineups, GPP Plays, Ownership and Values

Note Core Plays are always considered other plays (GPP only, or Cash Plays)

The player pool is listed below. Any updates for the slate will be called out in the Discord Chat.

Quarterbacks:

Core Play - QB is tough this week, I do think that Baker Mayfield, and Jayden Daniels are the two clear choices on this slate but they are also priced that way. Given that we will want to pay up elsewhere (RB/WR/TE) that makes it tougher to get to these two. After that we have a lot of punt options to get to today. I'll touch on those below.

  • Geno Smith - Geno is going to be going against backups with the LA Rams choosing to sit their starters. The Seahawks will also be without Kenneth Walker which should lead to a more pass heavy script. On top of that Geno has some Passing incentives in his contract that he will be trying to get. In simple this is a good offense in a great spot.

  • Tyler Huntley (But also Trey Lance) - I group these two together because if they hit or exceed value it will likely be because they have a good day rushing the football. Huntley is by far safer, the Dolphins have something to play for and the Jets are not a tough matchup. Trey Lance is a GPP only play. He may not even start but if we get 3.5 quarters out of a pure rushing QB I could see him getting to around 18 Fantasy Points.

  • Bryce Young gets a good matchup against ATL, and he has been someone that has been playing well recently. I like the idea of stacking him with Adam Thielen again this week.

  • Caleb Williams - The Green Bay Packers do not have much to play for and the Bears kind of day. It really feels like the Bears NEED to win this game just for the vibes to be decent going into next season. Getting a win against the Packers as well, this is basically their Superbowl.

  • Josh Dobbs is also the min price, he should almost be an easy pick to hit value, and he is easy to stack

QB Stacks:

  • Baker: Evans, McMillan, Bucky Irving

  • Geno Smith: JSN, DK

  • Huntley: Washington, Hill

  • Young: Thielen

  • Williams: Keenan, Moore

  • Daniels: McLaurin

  • Doubs: Jennings, Pearsall

Running backs:

Core Plays - Robinson, JT. Carter, Irving

  • RB is loaded this week, but Bijan, and Irving get easy matchups, and both teams will be trying to win. They feel like easy clicks.

  • Michael Carter is the cheapest of what should be the safe value RB plays. He played 87% of the snaps last week once James Conner left the game. He is a good pass catcher and should have a nice floor built in because of that.

  • JT holds elite upside this week going against the Jags as they are one of the worst defenses in the league. The one concern I have is that JT might not get his full workload this week.

.

Cash Plays: Core

GPP Plays: Guerendo, Charbonnet, Steele, Pollard

  • The issue I have this week is that we have plenty of other interesting RB plays. Guerendo will be the lead back for the Niners today, and he gets a great matchup at a cheap price tag. Charbonnet can get a lot of work in the passing game, and he is cheap. Pollard is in a good spot with Spears OUT for the Titans, and Carson Steele will likely be the lead RB for the Chiefs with them resting their starters.

Wide Receiver:

Core Plays - Evans, McLaurin, and Jordan Whittington

  • I fully expect Jordan Whittington to be in the Puka Nacua roll today thus that makes him probably the best play we have had all season. Now its not a full lock and load, as he just might not play that much. The worry is that McVay values him too much to the point where a player like Tyler Johnson just gets a lot more work. But that Week 18 DFS for you.

  • Evans and McLaurin are both playing in games that "matter" (WAS is still making the playoffs), and they both get great matchups. They are chalk plays but I feel like they are correct.

Cash Plays - Core + Thielen

GPP Plays (Sub 5K):

  • McMillan, Pearsall, Ridley, Michael Pittman, DJ Moore, D. Douglas

Tight End:

Core Plays / Values: Bowers, McBride

  • I am just paying up at TE, as I do not really like any other TE play at this price.

PLAYER POOL:

CHALK BUILD:

  • It is tough not to love the chalk build again this week I think that it makes a lot of sense. The slight issue that I have is the Packers DST. Besides that still solid.

Slight Pivot BUILD:

FAVORITE GPP BUILDs

My favorite GBB build is the one listed above.
